My name is Kent Boucher. Thank you for visiting the First Gen Hunter website!

In my growing up years I spent a lot of time in the outdoors fishing, camping, backpacking, canoeing and nearly any other outdoor activity other than hunting. I desperately wanted to hunt, but had no avenue in. Finally, I was able to establish myself as an “adult onset hunter" in my mid twenties. Since then hunting has become a major component of my lifestyle.

If your story is similar to my own, then you know how challenging it is to start at square zero and break into the world of hunting. The background knowledge required for using the equipment, pursuing the various game species, and developing effective hunting strategies can be intimidating to say the least.

The purpose of First Gen Hunter is to provide a starting point for fellow hunters who have had to figure out hunting largely on their own. The name First Gen Hunter reflects this reality. My hope is that when you reach hunting success, and you will, you will feel the information provided by First Gen Hunter played a significant role in helping you get there.
